How to find pedigree gundog type labrador puppies for sale?

Sorry posted this in the breeding forum by mistake , duh!

Anyway, we are looking for a pup of the above description, from a good private breeder. Its a certain type of labrador that we would like- which is the large, gun dog type and I cant seem to find many of these types of Labs around in the south of england!

Any ideas of where is a good place to look? Have looked on horse and hound and on epupz, but nothing there...the problem is that the pup has to be a bitch, have a good pedigree and also good hip/eye scrores etc.. Sorry to be so particular!!

I have a pointer, so I do not know whether it is the same for labs, but with the pointers there is a central registration for the breeders of pointers within the UK... that is where I found my dog when she was a puppy.

If you are willing to travel a little way, I am pretty sure you will find exactly what you want. I know of a few breeders of that description up here in Lancashire, but that would probably be a bit too far.

Is there a gundog forum??? I know there is a springer spaniel one, but not sure whether a particular gun dog one, just thought it may be worth a perusal

She has a very good pedigree and is currently training as a gundog
