I'm sure this must have been asked a million times before, but where's the best place to advertise for a decent sharer? I've tried Right Equine, but no luck so far. The people who responded weren't suitable at all.
Am I asking for the impossible?
My horse is a nice natured, sane, safe, sensible 15.1hh TBxWelsh gelding allrounder, stabled Surrey (close to Hants border). He's worth his weight in gold - a total confidence-giver who restored my love of hacking after years with a spooky warmblood and introduced me to cross country competition for the very first time! He's easy in every way - but not a plod.
I don't want any money, I just need someone fairly lightweight (old or young) with time on their hands during the week who can give him lots of love and cuddles. He'd like that!
Anyway, that's the problem. I'm trying to find someone to ride him mid-week, only very occasionally weekends. Mostly hacking and flatwork, with some jumping (and maybe competing) for the right person.
I made that clear in the advert, but it appears everyone only wants to ride at weekends and jump every time they ride. For free.
I don't mind some jumping, but not all the time, and I really do need someone who can ride mid-week. I can ride at weekends myself!
Any advice? Suggestions?!
Thanks!!
