How to get horse use to Wind Turbines?

At the end of the month, the farm where I keep my horse is installing two wind turbines (only small) in one of the field where I ride up a lane. They will not be riding directly pass them but they will be in about 500 yards away at the other side of the field and still in eye view.

Can anybody offer suggestions?

As they are fairly close, the horses might be able to hear them from the yard (I think they can be a wee bit noisy, not much, but a little bit).

I don't imagine (I could be totally wrong) that they move particularly fast though unless the wind is crazy, so once they can see what is making the noise they might be okay?

I'm sure someone on here has more experience of this than me though!
 
We have 3 where we are, and you ride right underneath them. In my experience non of the horses have ever bothered with them...horses don't look up! It's always been the riders that are more bothered by them. They do make a very loud noise when you are close up and you are not to go near in icy conditions, but honestly, none of the horses have ever had a spook at them and we are near enough to actually touch them.
 
Well, I would simply start out by riding past them once they are installed and acting as though they're not there. If the horse has an small issue then I'd deal with it as a minor spook (as though it were a bag or a dog etc.) and if it was a large issue then I'd ask the landowner if I could possibly long-rein the horse near them.
 
We have a couple on our hacking routes and pass one most days. Our 4 year old had never seen one before we bought her and the first time we took her up there she barely bothered and it was quite a blowy day. Since then she has never even looked at it. Most of the horses get used to it very quickly.

I'd just try to pass it on days when the wind is calm the first few times.
 
There are several near us. The only one any of the horses have ever bothered about is one which cast shadows across a road onto a house wall. The biggest problem is that it is near a fairly busy but narrow road junction.
A couple of weeks ago, a new one was being installed close to home, I hadn't realised, so went out for a hack. We had to negotiate the lorry, the tractor, the part of the turbine which had been unloaded onto the road and some road-works a few yards further on. She didn't react at all and still hasn't reacted even thought he turbine is now turning.
My advice is to just ride past.
