Hi all, please can you share your suggestions for getting rid of scurf? My pony is dark Bay and has constant white dandruff. She's lovely and shiny, but up close you can see it really obviously. It's all over too, but worst on her back, rump and forehead. I've been using a rubber curry comb in circles which is great for getting it up, but it doesn't seem to be improving. So looking for either supplements, or shampoo etc that can help. Thank you!

I used to use something called Scurf Off on my old welsh. He had sweet itch and was quite a scurfy horse, so I used to use it fairly regularly as part of efforts to control the itch. It really did work.

If you’re not already, try adding micronised linseed to her feed, then a good warm bath ( warmer the better) with dermoline medicated shampoo..

Thanks. Is there a difference between feeding linseed oil or the ground micronised linseed? Is I've more beneficial than the other? Or just horses preference? Thanks
