I have a lovely very black warmblood and recently she had mudrash, which has cleared up now after two weeks in her stable. Its just her hair is starting to grow back white on the back of one of her legs and not at all on the other legs eekk...
Does anybody know any lotions or potions I can put on that would grow it back black, or any good show products I can use when showing to make it black (apart from boot polish) which i might add i have considered!!!

if its already starting growing back id say its too late, but them im no expert. id also suggest sudo creme as i remember someone telling me it reduced scaring, but then again if its already healed then its probably too late.

you use to be able to buy black powder, i thick its made from coal, i use to put that on white marks when showing.

Just rub it on and wait for the hair to grow. Don't use it if there is a wound still open though - just if there is skin but no hair. There are 100s of different products for blackening the hair again - just loook at websites like Pretty Ponies or Deisgner Browbands - your local tack shop will probably have things for this as well.

I'm sure they have a trial size you could try to see if you are happy with it.
i accidentally 'spilled' some when i was applying it to his mane (and hadn't noticed) and the hair grew (he was fully clipped

Camrosa (which we have used successfully on scar tissue) was originally intended as a midge repellant. It's said to be "non medicinal" so no idea if it has been independently tested. Some people have reported problems. Apparently it has been linked to causing sarcoids and cancer to form in the wounds. Some vets are trying to get it banned. Having said all that, we would still consider using it on scar tissue but not long term.
