How to keep saddle dry?

As ThePony but I have seen Hi Viz ones the same - it is supposed to pee down this week though so your pride and joy will probably still get wet - get some really good leather conditioner too...

Use Neatsfoot oil on it to both waterproof it and condition it. The best stuff by far :)

..but not on any straps you don't want to stretch! It is useful stuff, but better used v sparingly on old dry tack rather than part of your usual tack cleaning regieme

ah, I just put that up as an illustration, if you put 'waterproof saddle cover ride on' into google lots of places come up!

The problem with those is the rain runs down it and your bum gets soaked!!!
Also slippy

I would just use a good saddle conditioner then the water runs off anyway, then just pat dry with towel when finished.

neatsfoot will also rot your stitching - think about it, leather is skin (essentially) - and skin is made of Grease, not Oils!

A good conditioner and dont dry it out next to the radiator ;)
should be fine.
