How to make a new saddle less slippery?

I rode for the first time tonight on my shiny new Albion K2 jump saddle - and it was incredibly slippery! Has anyone any tips on how I can get it more 'weathered' without damaging the leather please? Or is it just a matter of waiting?

You can get some stuff (from Derby House I think) which you put on the saddle which gives you more grip. Sorry I can't remember what it's called but it comes in a yellow bottle

The same people also make some stuff you put on your jods to give you grip too.

I'll talk to the physio tomorrow and ask when he can be ridden next, so might be popping over one evening to borrow it

Thank you!

Why not put a gel or Heather Moffat type seat saver on?

Never thought of that Flowerlady! Thanks for the suggestion

Someone else has recommended I just let the saddle get a bit dirty so the slippery feeling subsides... I quite like that idea
