How to make an Acavallo Gel out seat saver sticky again?

So I haven't used my seat saver in a while but now that I'm riding a young horse I think it's wise, its been sitting in the tack room for a bit so has lost its 'stickiness'. Does anybody know how to revitalise it? Thanks in advance. P.S I have searched on the internet but can't see anywhere that tells me how to do this, I have also tried water and fairy liquid but this didn't work.

Leave it in water overnight - it will be sticky again.

I actually knew someone who left an Acavallo back pad in water for over a week and it melted.
