Tumble dry her coat!!

My ancient Greyhound Jess has really been feeling the cold lately, so she has been wearing her extra heavyweight (rugged up like a horse!) fleecy poloneck jumper. Nothing else is quite as good for keeping her cosy! I put it in the wash this morning (she had on her outside coat with one of my t-shirts underneath in the meantime!!) and then had a panic about getting it dry in time so in the tumble dryer and then straight on while it was still hot - wow she didn't half enjoy it!!!!! We had BIG smiles and lots of jumping up and down and dancing, which I haven't seen her do for ages!!

Whippets are much the same when they get older. They wait for my husband to light the wood burner and then they put their heads under it until they are so hot, they stagger off to cool down a bit and then come back for more.

Awww bless that has just made me smile now, I can just imagine her having a 'greyhound moment' - people in the office are looking at me like I am nuts
