How to make the Forum behave like the good old one.

Well this is the best way I have found, but it requires a recentish version of Internet Explorer (if you use another browser not sure it will work).

When you enter the forum your interested in i.e. CR scroll down to the bottom.
- On the left hand side it says: Display options > Sorted by
change to 'Thread Start Time'. This wil display the posts in the order they are posted, not the most recently viewed or however it works now.

- To stop it changing back everytime you read or respond to a post, when you click on the post choose 'Open in New Tab'. In the new tab you can read / respond to a posts

Then when you finish close it and your back at the origianl tab with the posts in the RIGHT order

Hope that helps! There is more clicking involved but I think its the best we are going to get unless anyone knows a mad computer programmer and can convinvce them to hack the site and reprogam it!

Just realised though it takes it back to normal when you post! grrrr so annoying you have to re-do that everytime, I hate this new forum!!

Hence the bit about using different TABS in Internet Explorer - its the only way around it that I can find.

No problem Would have helped if I hadn't made a spelling mistake in the title I think, doh

For those without tabbed browsing, what my post said was basically the same, but to use the back button, or your backspace bar, which means the settings are saved until you log out/switch forums

We'll get everyone back to happy posting soon
