How to Measure a Saddle

I want to put a saddle on ebay and have no idea how to measure it?? Does anyone know??

When it says D to D do you put the tape measure on the D and straight across the saddle or is the stud behind the D to the stud on the other side. Also the seat is is from front to cantle or across from somewhere else??

the size of the saddle is usually from the stud to the middle of the cantle at the back in inches. People usually ask for the width -the measurement your talking about. Put on some pics, that helps.
