how to persuade my mother..

my dad wants to go on a cruise in 2013 and my mum has said no.

basically, she's worrie about me having to look after two horses - mine and dad's.
it's been a few years since we've had two horses on the same yard but they're both on full livery so the only extra thing I'll have to do is ride timberland.
there are some lovely people on the yard who, I'm sure, would help out if needs be.

any ideas?
it would be a shame for her not to go because of me.

Wow, she should go! Ours are on DIY and OH is often late/away with work so our two are mine to do. Two is no prob, get her packing her bags!!

As they're on full livery there shouldn't be any problems, as you said just the riding part. Tell her she must go and enjoy herself, or you'll go instead

maybe though to help convince her you do your dads horse for a few weeks so that she can see you will cope.

good idea - might be a bit time consuming at the moment as timberland is in dubai and jerry is in glasgow but will definately try that when timmy comes over

What time of year is it, you can always use the excuse over winter, that it's too cold to ride your horse every night anyway so you alternate them, summer we've got nearly 18 hours of daylight so there will be no problem there either (or you could always ride alternate nights/days then as well).
Or you can do as other people are suggesting and don't persuade her just tell her she's going, it's only 7 weeks, you could even try and take some of your holidays during this time (if you live with your parents it's bliss having the house with no one else in it!!!)
Why would Timmy want to come back from Dubai to this charming weather!!!
