I am desperate for Inkys mane to grow. i want a long flowing mane like eveyone else has!! He is fed well and his coat is in perfect condition. Ive been advised to try adding Biotin to his feed.

he is fed hifi lite, alfalfa, topline cubes and pink powder. Would adding Biotin be ok and would it work?? His feet are not in bad shape although he does do alot of work and isnt shod cause his feet are too small!!

Why is he fed hi fi lite & alfalfa & topline cubes ? it just seems from one end of the scale to the other, is he the little un in you sig ? he's cute, whats happened to his mane, is it the dreaded neck covers rubbing it off, I have the same prob, they never seem to be without rugs, all winter then fly ones in the summer, doesn't give them much chance to grow back, I was just waiting for that, putting him out without one at every opportunity.

You could try Biotin, a good general vit and min supplement ? Not sure really, as I said, I'm just waiting for it to grow back !

we have friesians so like to encourage growth and plenty of it!

Shapelys MTG rubbed in their main weekly and Biotin in their feeds, works a treat!

Avoid brushing, never use neck covers and mix megatek 50 - 50 with water and rub into the roots every other day. Wash mane with micotek shampoo every few weeks. Use surivivor detangler when combing through.

I use these products on Stinky and his mane looks fantastic and is very long and thick. It also works on Farra, and though she does rub when in, it seems to stand up to her abuse better than it did when we first got her.

Are you sure that others are not grooming him - Farra will groom a lot of Stinky's mane out unless I keep in in plaits and spray with things to encourage her not to groom his mane.
