How to record Badminton red button coverage

Actually, I have just been informed from a sky advisor that you CAN record if you have sky plus. You cannot schedule it to record in advance, but once its on the red button, you can record from there. You can also record prior to it starting streaming.

I am going to try this tomorrow! Apparently, its shortly going to be available to schedule in advance too (but obviously doesn't help for tomorrow!)

Can you tell us how to do it please
 
If you're on Virgin Media its channel 991 and listed as being on from 11:50am to 6pm. Just set my TiVo to record
 
Ohh I wish I wasn't so daft at all this........... well done BBC for making it difficult as usual, and NOT telling people where they can watch Badminton and at what time!!!, how typical :(

Can anyone tell me at WHAT TIME does the coverage of Badminton start, and presumably if I want the red button I have to go to any BBC channel and press "Red" and then select Badminton, OR Freeview channel 301??? Yes??

My OH has sorted it for us on sky plus - go to tv guide, yellow button search a to z, sports, scroll down to badminton on bbc rb 1, record!

wish I'd known this when olympia was on!
 
Arrgghhhh this is so annoying I subscribe to FEI TV and was sent an email to say it started today at 9:55, but it won't let me watch it as I am in the UK and the BBC have the rights (and those beggars have had my money too). Anyone know what time it starts yet? Been on red button and nothing is currently listed. We are on freesat and on here 301 is film4+?

OK, after scrolling for ages I have finally found it on BBC RB 1 on channel 981 freesat at 11:50-18:00. It has let me schedule for recording as it is counted as a channel.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I've never been able to get the red button to work as I'm on Virgin Media, so I was resigning myself to having to record the highlights tomorrow.

Can't get this to work on our Sky.....our yellow button on TV guide brings up favourites. Never mind,will try recording it from live red botton when it starts.
 
It only brings up Sunday's highlights for me doing that.
I will try when it is live streaming but have alwyas understood you cannot tape the red button, I tried before and it did come up record but didn't record anything.

Does the proxy thing work like it did for Kentucky? I think it hides your IP address so the player cannot determine which country you are in.

Just popped on here to also say that my TV is recording the red button channel (301 on Freeview) fine.

Ive managed to work out how to tape it on Sky. If ypu go to the program listing then search by a-z of programs. Selects sports and scroll down. Badminton will appear on the list
 
The sky thing doesn't work for me either, badminton appears on the list but that is for Sundays programme......

Doesn't seem to be a way to record from red button...... Raging......
 
All anyone will be recording is the "temporary fault" logo at the minute :( this is absolutely piss poor bbc :/
