How to rug for a hog and full clip?

Over the next couple of weeks I will go from having a cob with very thick feather that starts at her knees and a 1.5 foot long mane to having a fully clipped and hogged beastie

I am nervous and can't believe that I am going to do it but I have to because otherwise I will always be thinking 'what if?'. I love hogged and hairy so I need to try both


I know I will just have to see how she goes but I want to hear from what others have found they need to use when they went from hairy to full clip...

At the moment she has a trace clip and wears a no fill t/o with a neck cover - neck to keep her clean more than anything. At night she is either in a fleece or a 100g stable rug.

What do you think I need to be prepared for and am I the cruelest Mummy in the world?

This is my cob in reverse! He was totally hairless when I got him, lived out 24/7 in worst of winter with freezing temps, just in one of those half neck weatherbeeta orican T/O think its 300g and he was rooooasting!
