How to shift VERY stubborn stains off my grey!

Please help! My dirty grey horse has the worst stubborn stains on his flanks, and I've scrubbed and scrubbed and they won't budge! I've tried Cowboy Magic green spot remover, the shampoo, Quicksilver, Gallop, Green fairy liquid, even a Vanish bar, but they're not shifting!

I've heard of using Reckitt's blue too - will order that and try it, but if you have any suggestions I'd welcome them!

Will be watching this with interest as i have exactly the same problem with my coloured at the mo, I tried Wahl diamond white, didnt work, i have also tried ariel excel gel, all the fairy range, steradent tablets, hilton herbs ocean blue, vanish bar, best thing i used to get the worst off (after patch testing of course!) was Jolene facial bleach :o:o then leathered on chalk paste and talc, but it didnt work completely, we went showing with a yellow tinged leg last week and it looked pretty bad inside under artificial lights:( Im hoping it will come out a bit with his coat changing.
The only thing i havent tried is hibiscrub, that could be next :(
 
Vanish Oxy action :o. We did a test patch first and that was fine. So put it on the stain, left for 10 mins and rinsed lots!! Nice white pony again :)
 
I have found a grooming stone gets rid of stains, make sure the area is dry though. You do need to brush the 'dust' it leaves behind out too. Also baby wipes are good at shifting poo stains
 
keep washing daily! and change your bedding so super clean, a late night skip out also helps. with greys it is always best to clean frequently so as not to let stains be long term. if really stained and yellow i would clip the whole horse (full clip incl legs at this time of year) and start again. a blue shampoo may help.
 
Thanks all! I'll try the hibiscrub too and see if that works!

He's clipped apart from the legs, but even the clipped area is stained!! I do feel sorry for him, the look on his face when I bring the water bucket out is priceless - he is not amused with this new daily washing routine!!!

I'm not sure that putting bleach or detergents on the skin is a good idea. I always work on the basis of if I wouldn't use it on myself then I wouldn't use it on my horse.

Anyway, I have the dirtiest of grey horses you could ever meet and its a never ending battle. But, i've found the best thing to do is a good groom - get as much loose hair out, then use WOW! stain remover (for horses, you can get it in Derby House and on www) and then the best thing ever is a bar of Dove soap and a water brush. Good scrub and then finish off with a very weak solution of purple spray and warm water as a rinse down. Also, if you have access to hot water to wash your horse rather than cold, that makes a big difference too.

Baby wipes are also good for little stains.
 
Have you tried hot ragging ?

put hair conditioner in as hot water as you can stand, use a clean towel and wipe the area quickly so it doesn't come into contact for very long as its hotter than usual

Other than that Wahl dirty beastie or the blue one as others have suggested
