I have two 2yr old fillies by concord that i may need to sell.

I may be relocating with my job and will need to commute (2hrs each way) for next year till daughter finishes school so we can move as family, meaning i wont have time to look after the nags. Im not prepared to loan them, and at only 2yrs sharers wont be interested.

When i brought them they had been taught to loose school and jump, but i dont have any facilities so if i was to show them off to the best I think i would need to hire transport and indoor school. However this is very expensive, £100 for box, plus £20 ish for school x however many viewers want to see them = !!!!

Any ideas how to show them off? I was wondering of an "open day" would work? setting day, time place for viewers just to turn up? does this work? or do you think a video would be suffient to show paces/jump which viwers can see before they come to view, then just show them off in hand / loose in the spare small feild?
Any ideas?

You are unlikely to get enough interest to make an open day viable for the effort and expense you would be committed to, possibly hiring an arena for most of the day plus the transport.
I would make a really good video of them both showing them jumping, if you can , plus some very clear photos and put in an ad, if people come to see they should be knowledgeable enough to able to judge a 2 year old well enough by seeing it move in hand and loose in its field. If that is still not sufficient then they should be prepared to pay for some of the expense of taking them to free jump, if I sell a ridden horse and they want to try it xc I expect the purchaser to pay for the course hire and feel your situation is similar.

You really need to make an ad stand out from the crowd so you get the right type of people contacting you, it will cut out the timewasters and dreamers.

Just get a video of them freejumping and free schooling available to email to anyone interested, as fairly pointless having to keep moving them just to show them free schooling.
Get some good photos of them stood up and turned out properly - plaited, smartened up, shown at their best, etc..

Just have them in nice and tidy, show them in hand and being handled on the ground, and trotted up in hand. Show them loose in the small field if they wish to see them loose :)

Thanks.

Are 2yrs selling at the mo do you know? The prices on HH seem very variable, some are very "cheap" in comparrison to others, but only if the expensive ones are actulay selling.
