How to show my part bred arab?

Ive got a 12 year old part bred arab who im taking to my first showing class with him. Its only a local show so nothink serious but i want to do things correctly he isnt going into any part bred arab classes just foreign breeds, best pony, handsome gelding etc and just want to know do i put him in a halter or bridle? do i plait him and am i allowed to wear jodphurs if so what colour do i have to wear a tie and what sort of hat? hes bright chesnut with a white mane and tail and four white socks with a white blaze? also if i wanted to do some ridden classes the same apply do i need a double bridle? doe he need to be plaited? xxx

Because it's local, wear the same for inhand classes as you would ridden (light colour jods, tie, jacket, hat.

what colour tie and a plain black riding hat ok? also he has a diamonte browband should i change it to a normal one or can i use a ribben browband also doe it matter what he has in? hes in a hanging cheek snaffle or doesnt it matter
