As above - after 2 yard moves in a year i am finally at a very small perfect yard - well perfect for me! - last week an aquantance "popped" into see me - by the end of the visit she had taken over my current group of friends, was holding court telling all sorts of stories about me - funny ish but to my detroment.

By the end of the afternoon the yard manager had been charmed, she had promised the earth ie lessons, lunging, schooling, triming of various bits of horse to numerous folks and then asked me in front of everyone if i would move her today - i said no i couldnt, she said what about tomorrow i said no i couldnt, and she asked about next saturday - which i felt rather press ganged into saying yes to.

Now i have a seperate field for my two - all fenced off with my electric tape etc, with a new water trough arriving on Monday, and with a contractor booked to come and do the gateway - all at my expense! guess where miss flybye night wants to go....! yep - i have managed to say no to this.

I am so depressed - she ridicules everyone, she does not have lesssons, she has "clinics" and "mentors" - she would not been seen dead at a "local tin pot show" and basically is coming to a happy hacker yard where me and one other compete at a reasonable level but dont belittle everyone about it

feel another move coming on - and i really really dont want to..... oh and in all fairness it will only last 6 months before she moves on again after causing yard ward 3 as that is what she usually manages to do !

On the upside, it doesn't sound like the yard's for her in terms of competitive company, so hopefully that'll be enough to send her on her way soon enough! When she gets to know the other people, I'm sure she'll start telling tales on them too and they won't be keen on her either. Give her enough rope, and hopefully she'll hang herself soon! Well done on keeping her out of your field 80)

I would sugget you just sit it out and keep your mouth shut! Don't say anything about her to the other liveries - let them find out what she's like for themselves.

And as you have gone to expense to get your paddock how you want it - don't let her in it - presumably you have an arrangement with the YO that this particular paddock is yours to manage as you wish for your horses.

6 months will soon pass and then she'll be on her way somewhere else. Grit your teeth!

I would do my best to avoid her, try and go up at different times, go riding when she's standing around mouthing off, pretend you're in a rush etc etc. People will get sick of her eventually!
