How to stop Acavello stirrups scratching stirrup leathers?!

I got a lovely pair of acavello safety stirrups for my birthday, however when I run my stirrup up it scratched my stirrup leather! Any idea how I can prevent this?! Don’t want to have to take them on and off each time I ride!
