How to stop him..

I would love to take my new boy hunting but when in a group hacking he does everything to be at the front of the ride, and is generally better behaved and no longer stressing about getting there. (Nothing unmanageable but he just winds himself up and piaffes etc).

I was just wondering if there is anything, or any exercises I can do with him to help him stop this or is it just a matter of dealing with it.. I don't want him to try and be up the huntmasters a*** and to get sent home. (Not that I would allow him to do that but you know what I mean)

You could try taking him out in company and asking him to stay at the back for short bursts of time and build up to longer periods at the back as he gets used to it.
