My youngster enjoys playing with her water bucket and tips it over every night I have already put her bucket inside a tyre and she still knocks it over anyone got any tips?

Put a bloody great rock in the bottom! This worked for our last youngster.

Or tie it to the wall - put a small (safe) bracket up if need be. I did this with her hay tub to stop her kicking it about.

You can also get the ones that clip onto the wall - but I'm wary of those with youngsters - I always wonder if they might not get a leg through it when rolling.

I tied my bucket into a tyre with baling twine through each handle but i guess you could use bungees? Bit of a faff but it worked for the gelding during winter boredom at a livery yard!

All the suggestions so far are good. Also, try giving her something else to play with - she'll be less likely to find her own ways to entertain herself if you provide her with things to do! :p

I find that a trug inside a tyre (or two tyres) completely deters mine - one dunks and plays all night and the shetlands like to paddle in theirs but they don't seem to manage to tip them over

we found that putting water in the corner manger instead of feed. we did this with a problem horse and it worked. you fill it up with buckets of water and in the morning use a small bucket or jug to empty it out until its light enough to take out for cleaning...

I don't recommend tyres! But either a clean stone in water bucket and get her another (empty) bucket to play with. Or even a large football as long as she cant burst it and try to eat it!!! turnip on a rope as long as she cant strangle herself in the rope!!!

Instead of a stone would a clean brick be ok? Just being stupid today so thought id check. Need other options to try as mine pulls hers over in the field most days if she's hungry (no grass so have to give haylage) or wants to come in. Drives everyone mad.
