This cobs mane is about 12/13 inches long and 3/4 inches thick. It’s not even nice wavy long it’s just thick, wiry and bushy. It needs to be plaitable by September 😅 and I keep getting my fingers caught and sprained while riding!! I can’t keep it any longer!

I’ve never had to pull one from scratch just maintain. What are your ultimate thinning and pulling tips. Anything to make it seem a bit easier!!! TIA

I'm itching to hog it from your description!!! TBH would be easier to hog a mane like that than to keep pulling at it, as it grows back plait it and lay it to one side.

Just get a thinning blade (medium) and brush the underside every time you groom. It will thin out eventually.
