Hi. This is probably a silly question to a lot of you but I've never done this before.

I want to take my 6 month old foal to a show where there is also a class for my two year old who has never traveled before.

The question is would it be safer to take foal on his own in trailer with partition out or take them both with partition in?

I know a lorry would be perfect but we only have a trailer.

If you're travelling two, it's safer (and I think illegal if you don't) with a partition.
Will you have enough help on the day as it's quite likely, your other youngster will get stressed when the other is taken out and that might cause problems for you?

i would personally only take one or the other, are you going with anyone? it's alot of standing on a trailer waiting for classes and you have two to worry about all the time, i also wouldnt leave a youngster on its own in a trailer whilst in the ring.

there is always another day to take the 2yo out. i would travel foal with partition in, either on its own or a experinced horse

You have to put partitions in - it's illegal otherwise.

And if you are going to take both of them make sure you have a handler for each plus the person who is showing. You obviously won't be able to leave either of them unattended at any time - so will need plenty of help.
