My dog went for a walk yesterday with my OH and he took him to the tennis court where he works. My dog must have been chasing a few balls and skidded and has now taken a layer off his two front pads. I can't see any big cuts but it looks like a little circle on both where the top layer of the pad has come off. He is very reluctant to walk/move at all, which is really unlike him. How should I treat him? Will they eventually heal by themselves or should I take him to the vets? Should I bandage them to make it more comfortable for him? I am aware that I don't want them to become infected, but can't see what the vet will be able to do if I took him as it's not bad enough to be stitched.

:(

Coat in Camrosa Teal has useless pads.

Infact have vets this afternoon because he has just come back with a gaping wound on the side of his pad (not happy they didnt notice) but its oozing and not sticking together and smells cheesy. :(

Normally Camrosa everything bleeding/ sore/ bald human, canine, equine or cavy :)
