How to turn off commenting on a thread

I have been asked to turn off commenting on a recent thread. Is this possible? And if so can anyone help? I can’t see how it can be done!

If you are being pressured, best to let the admin of whatever site/platform it is happening on know, too.

Get the person who wants the commenting turned off (lock the thread) to sort it out directly with admin themselves.

Admin may or may not comply.

If this is what I think it is, I'd have hoped the complainant would be happy with the mass editing and deleting of comments, by the admin team, on the thread already. I think admin have done enough to placate said individual.

I also hope you're not being pressured. You asked a genuine question and people gave you honest answers. This is not on you.

If admin saw fit to close the thread, they would have done so.

@canteron , if you are getting unpleasant pm’s on HHO you can report them in the same way as you can report posts on the forum.

Click the ‘report’ button by the pm, state why you are reporting it, then send it in to admin.

Glad to see that what will be the thread that a certain party would wish didn’t exist is still running, albeit after apparently undergoing some pruning.
