Wow, isn't it amazing what you can find in you tube. Whilst looking for horse abcess videos ( gross I know but its a guilty pleasure I know a lot of us on her partake in lol ) I came across a vid for how to treat your horse by yourself if it has a hoof abcess, after finding the video mildly amusing whilst hoping nobody relies on this womans 'teachings' I decided to check out her website. It amazes me the misguided information that gets posted on you tube, I did only check out the horse related vids so maybe the numerous other areas which she is training on may give good information, but lady please leave your horses hooves to someone who knows exactly what they are doing and if you feel you must do it yourself, please dont post 'how to' vids on you tube for anyone to try and follow.

Thank you for posting, but I must say that I am not amused. I haven't found the how to do heimlich on a donkey, but considering everything else that she does do, I'll take your word for it.

So if there is any HHO:ers out there that wants to build yourself a log cabin, a chicken coop or a feed trough/raised garden, then this is the website for you.
If you want to learn about heating your home with kerosene, how to cook the perfect fried egg, fix the air volume control gauge on her (?!) well water tank, and in only 12,38 minutes learn how to harness up a donkey or horse, learn all the parts of a harness, and how to teach a donkey or horse how to drive and pull a cart, etc. etc. then clearly this is the website for you...

Since she talks about milking her goats, there is probably something about making your own goat cheese as well, and if there isn't, it is probably just a matter of time. And then she will have to make a video about how to keep the mice away from your homemade goat cheese...

And you can buy her DVD's, like the Backyard chickens 101, updated second edition

And last but not least, the DVD Be your own farrier...
Out there for anyone to buy, just buy the DVD, a Swiss Army knife and a few other things and every horse owner will be able to go out and begin to cut in their horses hooves...

Run, Forrest! Run!

Finnish laphund - If you took as much time reading my first post as you did typing yours, you would surely see that 'amusing' is meant in an OMG manner and not a LOL manner.
Jeez, the woman is telling you to be your own farrier for gods sake, hardly funny haha!

I apologise if I made you upset, but I only wanted to make it clear to others that read this thread, that I wasn't that happy about what I had read/seen, and then and there, I just thought that writing "Thank you for posting, " maybe would give people the wrong impression, so I chose to say "Thank you for posting, but I must say that I am not amused" instead.

Thank you for the apology Finnish laphund.
My feelings are as yours are on this, she should not be posting vids of how to do your own horses hooves.
I think I maybe should have put incredulous rather than amusing.

*Hurries off to another tab to look up the word incredulous*

*comes back* Incredulous sounds much better.
*Makes a mental note about that I must remember the word incredulous and how to spell it, so that I can use it when I'm sceptical or when something is difficult to believe*

Oh and I've found the How to do Heimlich on a donkey-video, now I must admit that I'm not 100% sure about where the diaphragm on a horse/donkey begins and ends, however when I actually had to do Heimlich on a dog that was choking, I placed my arms and hands more like where the rib cage ends/in the area of the belly that is located opposite to the loin area, so I don't understand how someone could see that video, and then suggest that it looked like he was doing Heimlich on the donkey?
I'm incredulous to that this is how you should do Heimlich on a donkey, video.

She first uploaded that video with the title "Donkey Calf Machine: Donkey Calf Raise", a title that makes absolutely no sense to me, on the other hand, what he is doing in the video doesn't make any sense to me either, so basically I'm just lost.

I think it is time for me to leave that website.
