I had a good weekend - weekend off competing for them as I have done something every weekend for as long as I can remember!!! Just Hacked Mac out sat morning then went to look at a pony with friends - which was nothing like in the ad so pointless visit!! Then had a jump lesson on Spider and she jumped beautifully get more and more excited about her every day!! She just takes anything and everything in her stride. Then up early today to ride tem both before going to see another pony with friends at 9am - which again was not like they said no another no no!!! But mine were very good again today - hacked spider and she was good and schooled mac and he is geting better and better at counter canter (without the change!!) and leg yielding etc!

Eyes are rolling in my head now wanting to sleep!! And not looking forward to early start to put horses out and wash hair and go to work!!

eventing season would have kicked off for us but Stilemans was cancelled sooooo it was back to SJing again!! Took Hattie BSJA sjing and was 6th and d/c in the discovery and d/c in the 1m am. champs qualifier - so very pleased as it was the first time ever that we have jumped over 1m in a competition environment
smile.gif

Also took Fiddler clear round sjing on saturday and his confidence seems to have increased but we are a long way from the confidence filled, bold pony i used to know.

Good evening!
I think i've had quite a good weekend, as you know took Pops to munstead today which was good, apart from getting absolutely soaked!! Best bit was getting home at 1pm still having 6 to muck out and another to ride!
Yesterday was lovely, jumped Ellie and took Pops for a hack, and only had 5 to do

Praying for the rain to stop and everything to dry out! x

Lovely weekend, nice hack in the sunshine yesterday then went SJ today, only did two little classes and we got two 2nd's!! First time we have made it to a JO since xmas and we managed two double clears today! Madam was very well behaved all day

Has rained here lots today, everywhere is a muddy mess, praying it clears up as we have a local hunt next Saturday, which we (sure May is looking forward to it too!) are really excited about!

I didn`t jump this weekend but went with friend to Solihull and watched her and her friend compete 3 horses in the Newcomers, and 1 in the Foxhunter. She got 4 faults in NC, her friend rode 2 and got 4 faults and clear and 4. In the Fox, friend got clear and 4.
Today I went with her again, and she took 2 babies in the BN. One got DC and was placed 4th, the other got eliminated with 2 stops at a big spread. Really enjoyed it though.
I managed to hack out yesterday and did flatwork today before the heavens opened.

Got a jumping lesson tomorrow.

Wash out basically!!
Supposed to go to outdoor SJ on grass today, but for obvious reasons becided not to bother. Then hubby pulled a muscle in his back (picking up an empty bucket would you believe) so spent the afternoon in A&E to get some strong painkillers for him.
Had a nice hack with our new neighbour yesterday though.
Hope everyone else had better luck!

Had a good start to the season, placed with a d/c and with added brakes will be all set for belton adv u25!

Well...mine went a little pear shaped.

Still having probs with lorry - loaded up for lesson on Sat and ramp wouldn't go up, so abandoned that
frown.gif

Went to see a lovely new yard, but they don't have space yet, so put my name down
smile.gif

Spent rest of the weekend swearing at the lorry trying to fix it (unsuccessfully so far) and YO swearing at me for dumping it in the middle of the yard with ramp down

Lol at Finn! Tell him/her to fix it themselves if they're so clever!

I hacked both round roads on Saturday, then pulled Liberty's mane - finally

. Yesterday I took him to Great Westwood with some friends from yard, and gave William a miss as the weather was so damp.

Those weren't the exact words I used.....

I did point out i'd left the keys in it, so it could be moved in an emergency. The woman just stared at me in horror!

The boy & I did some indoor SJ to regain our confidence after last weekend total balls up. We did 2 teeny tiny classes and apart from a knock-down in each round we went clear and, praise be, even managed to get a nice rhythm between a few of the fences - no mean feat when his normal style is nap backwards then spin and gallop at fence one stride out!

I took my sisters mad pony along and she was great as well - we sadly had a run out at one fence as she tanked with me and galloped straight passed it rofl.

Got a flat lesson and a jumping lesson this week then no comps at the weekend - planning on taking them both out for long long chilled out hacks.

complete wash out! Didn't take Flash to the show we've been waiting weeks for because teh practice ring was completely flooded and lorries stuck in the mud, decided it would do more harm than good! So I'm trying to find something more suitable to go to soon!
