Hi, am ment to taking my daughter to a show tomorrow, having just watch weather forecast am a tad nervous, how windy does it have to be before you decide not to tow? We are based in the New Forest Hampshire, so we dont always get the weather as bad as our forcasters predict but still we are having to leave home bout 9ish and having to go via motorways, so what do you guys think?

There is a severe weather warning in place for Hampshire. So agree with debsflo - there's always another show.

I'm suprised they haven't cancelled actually.

I wouldn't tow a trailer anyway (hate the things) and the thought of people going out in them in high winds terrifies me. I would NOT go. It's scary enough in a lorry to be honest but really the lorry doesn't move at all (although feels like it sometimes) I certainly wouldn't go in a trailer anywhere - certainly not on a motorway anyway. If just a short way and country lanes then maybe a different matter.

No worth the risk in my opinion.

Oh - and if the rain continues like it is now - what's the fun in that anyway!!!!

I'm in the forest too and it's pretty nasty out there. If I were you i'd forgo the show and cosy up to the fire tomorrow. There's always another day and better to be safe. The M27/M3 are not great at the best of times.

I posted an almost identical question last night as we were forecast for strong winds today but they are arriving tonight rather than this afternoon. The general consesus was, don't do it. There will be another show and if they winds are going to be as strong as they are saying it will be horrid at that show, cold, wet, windy and no fun. Plus driving through the forest in a gale is not somewhere I'd like to be in a car let alone with a trailer.

I'm sure your daughter will understand and there will be plenty on over Christmas to make it up to her with

I ended up missing out on going to OTECC a couple of weeks ago because of the wind. I was gutted not to go, but that would have paled into insignificance if I had gone and something had happened.

WE were supposed to take opur new girl XC schooling tommorow, Its not too windy here in Norfolk yet but I have cancelled anyway, no way on earth I would drive my lorry when its windy, I hate it when it sways in the wind.
