Lesson abandoned today.... riding instructor normally very strict and will make me ride in pouring rain, snow, etc.. but not today - winds at 70 mph
One horse had faulty leg straps and the rug blew over his head! Took me ages to get to stable as tree blew onto road and caused diversion.
Roll on Spring, I am so fed up with rain....

Where's tree fallen?

If you think it's windy on your yard, take a treck up to ours - yard sheltered but the moment you leave it's safety - hang onto your hats!!

rain rain glorious rain....hmmmm... ive had enough of it, everywheres virtually flooded, all horses on yard were kept into, mines in anyway coz of mud fever... joy... your right roll on spring... but then once summer hits us we'll be moaning its too hot!!

The winds here are between 100km and 140km!

I think my horse decided he didn't even want to risk me contemplating to ride, and has promptly pulled a shoe off!!
I'm soooo miffed at the weather. Taking him to his first SJ party on Sunday and wanted to give him a pop this week, but the wind is going to have the poles before me!!!!

kept mine in today as well, all the others were out and 2 of them had there rugs blown right off of them! if ottos rug had come of like that he would of had a fit! we are loosing the roof off the hay barn and have put a sleeper on top of it to try and keep it down for now and some felt off another stable is coming away so surprisingly (considering the age of the stables/yard) there hasnt been to much damage at the moment..had an interesting day at work to...nearly got blown over 3 times, played dodge the trees while driving down the back roads and had endless amounts of twigs/small branches bouncing off the roof of my car!
