Shes a 14.1hh welsh d x (non registered)
As shes got mild sweetitch so rubs out some mane (still enough left to plait but the lovley gorgeous long mane .. gone

) and she always rubs the top of her tail.
Thinking next year of taking off the feather, pulling her tail & plaiting her as shes quite lightweight for a welsh (or so ive been told)
If i did that what classes would i be able to take her in?
If i try very very hard i might possibly be able to grow out her mane but what ill do with her i tail ive got no idea. Ive used rub stop cream/lotion since i got her and its not worked!
So she would be smotherd in rugs & cream all summer which im not sure she would be happy about! Here some pics to help out .. so trim or not trim?

With mane & feather ..

You could show in a welsh partbred class, she is pretty and nice as she is regards mane and feather, you could just do one small plait near her poll.
I am not sure what the rules on with M&M classes, i think you would be able to do them with her.
You can only try, the proof will be in the pudding

ETS: if she rubs badly then you may be left with no option but to take off most of the mane and plait

In my humble 'pinion, do away with the feathers

. I'd pull mane and plait and go for working hunter, but I'm not a showing person

Forgot to mention! Shes not being backed until at least next spring & we have the feeling judging by the reactions to lunging/longreining when we first started its not gonna be easy! Shes 11 but has been a broodmare. So it will be inhand ill be doing

I was told my welsh a x was unable to go in m&m because he was not crossed with another m&m breed, we think Honey is crossed with a trotter

unregistered you see all types in the ring. i would wait til next year when she is riding and pull and plait her and do ridden part bred or working hunter with her
