(yes i know he has lots of rosettes in this pic but it was a tiny local show)

is he conformationally good enough? or would i be wasting my money?

thats it for use only done one unaffiliated show with him, we have done some dressage and jumping with him, but i wanted to try veteran showing.

I think I remember when you posted the pics when you won that he is 24? is that right. I would say that it is well worth having a good. Obviously can't really see his conformation or how he goes ridden but he looks very smart. I did a lot of veteran classes in the past and good conformation with free movement is important, other than that can't really give much advice.

he is 23 so very close :D i was planning of going in hand first, to get the drift of things as never really done showing i am a showjumper at heart.

but just so you can see how he goes under saddle ;) (its not me riding so no cc)

I have been doing Veteran showing and Veteran dressage for the last couple of years. take a look at http://www.veteran-horse-showing.co.uk It is meant to be for home produced horses and riders and they have 3 different age groups and do both in hand and ridden for the showing and the dressage they have again 3 section Prelim, Novice & Elementary, this is then divided up into the 3 different age groups 15-20, 20-25, 25+ It has been great fun, everyone has been so nice and friendly. I has been quiet easy to qulaifiy for the regionals, which again is great fun but thet is when it gets much ore high powdered, with only one ridden and one in hand going forward to the champs at Olympia. The dressage is also run with local heats , then a regional but this time there is more chance to go to the Champs as the top three horse form each age group and class go to the National Championships. In the dressage they have the most amazing roseetes for each competitior, worth go for ! The Showing part has been won the last tow years by the same pony and he will proberley win again this year, unless they decied to put a 3 year cap on the champion but at least the other places are up for grabs. You may be amazed at how many local compertitions there are for this champs. You have to registar to beable to qualify. Good Luck !!!
