So here's where we pay for the weekend - Henry is driving me bonkers!
My bloke is currently house-sitting, so last night Henry and I went to stay over. Henry has been to this house before several times including overnight, and knows both the resident dogs. We put his crate into the hallway, as the resident dogs currently have fleas courtesy of a hedgehog
and I didn't want them to get into his bedding (Henry himself is Advocated). He had his DAP infuser plugged in, and was not in any draughts. He had been fed and watered and had been for a run before bed, so was not hungry and did not need the loo. Despite this, he spent the whole night whining and wheeking away...
I am at a bit of a loss on what to do this evening, I am already hugely stressed at work at the moment and spent all last night either having stress nightmares or lying awake listening to Henry, and poor bloke was not getting too much sleep either... I think we could all do with a good night's sleep tonight! He doesn't normally sleep in my room, so that shouldn't be an issue either, and his crate is very comfy. We stayed at another place over the weekend and he was very chilled and settled well - we are at a bit of a loss as to what the problem is here.
Anyone got any ideas on how we get some sleep tonight? Of course Henry is snoozing under my desk so he's fine, but I am like a zombie!
I might suggest having him in the crate in our room, but I think we'd both much rather avoid that if possible. Not sure what else we can do to settle him down though. Other than hard drugs or getting him drunk
