I took these pictures of ben, my youngster this week, He turned three this month, 50% TB, `25% connie... Now standing at just about 15.3. He was due to be backed this month but things have all gone tits up what with my other girl taking up all of my time. Anyway, here are a couple of shots, not perfect for CC with the way hes holding his head, but you should get the gist of him :) Oh, and he hasnt got a ewe neck, hes just standing like a flump:rolleyes::o

excuse the tangle of rope... no neddies were scared or hurt during this photo shoot ;)

I'm no help to you with CC but he's a gorgeous looking boy :D Very jealous! :D

Also curious what the remaining 25% is

I was wondering how Ben was, with all the Ebony updates. He's looking well. If he's only just turned three I don't suppose the delay in getting working with him will do him any harm at all :) love the last pic!

Thank you :D his dam was connie x TB, and his sire was TB x ?, Grandsire (sire to Bens sire) is Appledore Marengo, Sports Horse registered, so I suspect his Grand Dam was TB x With some sort of Cob/Heavy, because Dam didnt have much feather and neither did Appledore Marengo, so his bone and feather must have come through his Grand Dam on his sires side.

Yeah, theres no rush :D He is lunged a few times a week in varying attire, from roller and 2 lines, to lose with just a cavasson and line, in walk and trot for about 15 mins max, we will then move back to long lining as soon as he is sharp enough on commands. We are also doing some bombproofing at the moment and once he is a bit more focused, I will introduce a saddle (he is already mouthed). So I get a bit of play time with him to keep him on the right track. :D

Im currently trying to trace his sire (I never saw him) The aution house he was sold through are trying to link me up with his new owner so I can at least get a pic, his breeders keep saying they will send one but never get round to it, and to be honest I just dont have the time to chase them or go and see them to get it myself.

Sounds good, the more groundwork you do, the easier and quicker it will be to back him and the more they can get done under saddle when you send him away :) I can't wait till I can start doing work with my 2 year old next year, I love pre-backing games :D

Would be interested to see a pic if they send one :) You defo don't have time to go chasing people up atm

and yes, his mane has been hacked at with scissors:eek::eek::eek::eek: I am then going to thin it, dont think he will stand for a proper pulling session yet:rolleyes:
