Hi all
Just wanted to share a few pics of my youngster who is now 13 months old, and get thoughts on how he looks. Am a bit concerned as his testicles have not dropped yet. Just wondered if this is normal as vet checked him in spring and hopes to castrate him in Autumn but obviously cant if theres nothing there!

My guy is 16 months old and his testicles haven't dropped yet either. They are both present but just haven't dropped at all. He is a rescue so not sure if his poor condition would have had anything to do with this. But I'm waiting for them to drop so he can be cut. But already feel guilty!
 
I only had my 2yr old gelded in April as he only had one which was slightly down. I wanted to wait for them both to come down but was not happy keeping him entire so he went in to the vets and was operated on. The second one was present but just hadnt come down yet, it is quite common and aslong as it isnt retained in the abdomen then it is quite a straight forwards operation. Cost me around £500 including all drugs and 3days stabling at the vets. He then came home afterwards and went straight out in the field with his buddies, been fine ever since :)

Your boy looks lovely by the way.

Have a chat with your vet as they can have a good ''feel'' to see whereabouts they are.
 
lovely youngster, but i wouldnt hold much or any hope of his testicle dropping now. i had my 2yrs colt gelded a couple of months ago, he had one dropped the other was in the canal but not down, it was straight forward and cost me £200 vet cut high up and did the testicle at the top.
 
Thanks for the comments. Guess il just have to wait and hope something appears!! Will have a chat with my vet in the near future and see what they suggest.
