He does look quite porky. I think i'd rather he went into the winter carry a bit much than a bit too little tho but dont let him get any fatter.

he has been in the starvation paddock most of the summer, i have no idea where he is getting the calories from, as he has been ridden or schooled nearly every as well

Twistediamond - I think as we are in September and the cold will be here soon i wouldnt worry about him having a bit of a belly.

Not slacking multitasking
he is overweight, looks like he probably has a bum gutter too, but have seen plenty worse just be careful to keep him on starvation for the time being particularly if we get some rain. IME increased exercise is the only thing that works.
It may be the angle of the pic but his feet look long to me particularly the fronts which always worries me with round pones.
