Hi everybody.

Just wondering if you could take a look at our TB Mare.

Conformation and weight, all opinions welcome :)

The side shot she is resting one of her legs but I hope that doesn't matter too much, she always rests one or the other, couldn't get her to stand up!

I think her weight looks spot on and agree she has a nice bum!!

I'm no expert but I think the one area I would build up more is the neck and that is a muscle thing only achieved by work. Everyone I work and train with swears by the Pessoa (you don't need the expensive one - just a version of it) and work them on the long and low setting for 20 mins a couple of times a week.
 
what a lovely mare..the only thing i'd query is the ridge in her neck, it looks extremely pronounced, does she set her neck a particular way when ridden? or is it just the way the camera caught her. it just looks very over pronounced compared to the rest of her neck which is quite weak.

weightwise she looks spot on and agree with the lovely bottom comment!
 
Thank you. I agree with her neck being weak at the moment, she does go in a nice contact but it isn't always consistent. She's been out of work for a couple of months due to rider injury (My father rides her, I don't, but plan to again in the future) so that would be why she's not got much muscle on her neck. We started work with a Pessoa, so we'll bring a couple of sessions on that in a couple of times a week when she's brought back into work.

And the ridge I am not sure, as I said above she doesn't go around with her head in the air or anything so I'm not sure what this could be. It doesn't always look as bad as that but I can see what you mean in the photo's. :)
