He is a 16.2 IDx gelding coming up to 13 years old.

We have owned him coming up to 6 years and he has been there and done it all, BSJA, Hunting, Working Hunter, One Day Events, Cross Country etc.

He is my daughters horse and she has bogged off to University so he is now mine all mine mwwwahh! I do let the daughter have a go when she come home lol! I ride him most days, light schooling, lots of hacking and the occasional Trec,

So any comments on confirmation, condition etc

He doesn't have a cresty neck, he was due a haircut, boy looks good hogged.

Thanks for your replies, he is a lovely kind and chilled out boy with the most willing nature and the kindest of eyes. He is a good boy and follows you round like a big dog.

AdorableAlice, yep a proper leg in each corner and gives a lovely safe ride, although he does like to do the odd buck lol.

Mcnaughty, don't ask about the tail, daughter pulled the top and it was as far as i was concerned to far down, so am growing some of it out, looks a bit of a state at the moment but will look lovely and bushy when it all grows down ;-)

He looks lovely! But what I really want to know is how do you get him to stand there like that??!! Mine would be walking towards me wondering what I was doing!

It is easy, all Irish horses have a park, sit and stay button.

It is found on the right hand side of the neck, third button down. The first button is the go button, the second is the stop button.

On the left side of the neck are two buttons, left and right.

Ha ha! He also has a reverse & park button, the yard I am on has stables up a concrete ramp, when I come back from my hack I reverse him & then parallel park him next to the ramp, then dismount on the higher level (saves my knee joints)!

He does it perfect every time, the mint in my pocket he gets after I have dismounted helps too lol!

What a good idea. I have just downsized from 17.2 to 15.2 because of advancing age and infirmity. Toddles off to decide where the geriatric ramp can be built ! or we could design a hoist.
