SLH - well aren't you kind! lol I know where to send her when/if she blots her copybook.

On a serious note, if you're after a clyde or similar, I know a bloke in the north east who can source some nice types. He found me Scrappy but of course she was very young. I'm not sure on prices though. Just a thought.

It's nice to see a sport clydie! Good luck with her, as said elsewhere the feet picking up is a joint effort between you and your mare. Not many people would be able to pick up an uncooperative horse's foot, clyde or not.

You'll know if/when she becomes too much for you. You don't need someone to tell you.

My OH loves a whinge about the horses but it's more for effect than anything. He's just passed up the opportunity to buy a car he's coveted for a long time (it's not that bad, he has 3 others) as it's very likely my boy will have to retire very soon (might even have already retired if our last ditch attempt at medicating the joint doesn't work) and I need a new one. He's a good egg really.

OP, your Clydie looks fabulous, you have done a super job, enjoy her.
I am coming up 51 and OH does mumble quite a lot about maybe i should not be jumping anymore on my sometimes sharp ISH and perhaps we could concentrate on dressage, but I still get such a buzz out of it, so will carry on for now.
I am also, fingers crossed, due my first ever foal from a friends mare next year, who is destined to be my next ( and possibly last) horse and i will be 55 plus before even backing him/her and very much looking forward to it :)

Thanks to each and every one of you for your kind words. You’ve been a great support over the years and I’ve done my fair share of moaning.
