Sad to say that one of my closest friends lost her father yesterday to his long term battle with cancer.

He was supposedly on the mend but sadly took a turn for the worst during Saturday night.

Just made me think about how we take things for granted, especially horses.

Hugged Wellie and Prince extra tight tonight. Always appreciate my babies and how thankful I am for the littlest things about them.

Not exactly a horsey post but makes you think. Treat your neds/family extra special and never take for granted :)

Rest in Peace Stuart, never forgotten x

I'm so sorry for your friend - I lost my father to cancer 18 months ago, today he would have been celebrating his 76th birthday.

Tomorrow our small village is burying a 19 year old soldier, killed as a passenger in a car accident last month - hearts are heavy.

Thankyou guys. Is a hard time for all, glad to have something else to focus on as have just started a new equine project.

STR - How very sad. Sorry for your father, and to the young soldier. Sad to see someone so young die, especially somebody so brave. R.I.P xxx

I think we all need a reality check from time to time. I have a 19 year old Anglo Arab who has been thru the mill this year with an op etc plus got my parents who are 77 & 78 so certainly not taking them for granted! So thanks for the reminder of hugging all that matter! :-)
