My god i am so sorry that i have seemed to offend so many of you by trying to make light of my situation, i'm new to all this posting malarky and obviously i didn't know that making stupid jokes would offend so many people. I love my horse so much that i had considered suicide rather than having to deal with selling him but in the end couldn't go through with it because of my husband and son. anyone that knows me knows that i don't think that horse welfare is anything to joke about. I have been having a really bad time of things of late and obviously my joke was taken in bad taste. So massive apologies to all of you that have tried to help me and have given me good advice i never meant to offend. And as for me being defensive , i'm afraid that i will always be defensive where my boy is concerned and nothing will ever change that.

I maybe wouldn't have got it without reading the less cheerful post and its heartening replies - don't take it to heart!

Really hope you move on to brighter times soon and your horse is sorted out

it's hard to put across a joke in typing. plus the fact you're new and we've seen plenty of weird, stupid, crazy type posts from plenty newbies (and oldies playing tricks

) , sometimes people will jump to the wrong conclusion.
so sorry you're having to part with your lad. hope you manage to find him a great home

Best of luck with finding a loving and knowledgeable home for your boy. I'm sure people just got the wrong end of the stick, very easy to misinterpret something typed rather than spoken - I certainly did until I noticed your smileys at the end of the post

Well all i can say is thet it seems only certain members are allowed to crack jokes,
AND there have been some pretty poor ones on here over the years!
Don't take it to heart, i can't believe anyone would really think you would sell him on ebay, i think some members were spoiling for a fight
Take care

I thought your post was funny and could see you were talking tongue in cheek...I think people takes themselves too seriously and need to lighten up a bit. You do not need to apologise and I wish you every luck in finding a good home for your horse.

Cowboy - think it's more a case of you being a "newbie" than others lacking a sense of humour

Maybe you should of done the "Sorry - another how much?" post with loads of photo's and details
wink.gif
Can't believe you were ticked off at least twice about advertising on the board - HHO T&C's

especially when you consider some regular posters have actually had "Last chance to buy ***" posts - weird

Good luck in selling your boy - he's stunning

It's called hypocrisy.
'sorry another how much' 'anyone heard of this dealer' ' oh look at this lovely yard' 'where is the best place to advertise ...'
yadda yadda yadda
too honest, cowboy1, that's your problem.
lots of people offered help on your original post, I should stick to their kind offers, pm them and chat, and ignore les miserables. Let them get on with it

Are we referring to the Ebay Post!!
Dont fret about it those who thought you were serious should just be relieved you werent.

If it makes you feel any better the gypsies camped out next to our local Dual Carriageway over the summer and they had a horse tethered next to the Dual Carriageway the wrong side of the fence with a cardboard for sale sign on the the fencing next to it. I didnt see but one of the girls said that it had a For Sale sign around its neck originally.

They werent joking!!

It takes a lot to apologise. To err is human, to apologise is devine.

It might be worth remembering that on these sites, on email, text etc, it is impossible to see facial expressions and vocal tones and sometimes things come across opposite to what is intended.

I hope you find a good home for your horse and things work out well for you.

Oh goodness! I read the post and I could see it was a joke! Don't know why so many people got in such a stew about it!
