I am wanting to get Morris a fancy new bridle for shows, but because he has such a huge head, normal flash bridles look weird and tiny on his face! The only bridles I can find that have a decent chunky noseband are crank ones. I thought that these were only really used for dressage (I'd use mine mainly for SJ), and I don't actually know what they're for! And i'd heard they're easy to do up too tightly

Does anyone have an opinion on them? Would they be suitable for showjumping, or can anyone recommend extra full/oversize flash bridles in brown that are slightly on the chunky side? Thanks

They are not hugely expensive but I have found the gallop range of bridles look great on pickle, allthough he currently has a crank I havent had any problems with it.

Also jeffries do some nice chunkier extra full bridle

Then if nothing else browse ebay there is always some strange extra full stuff

I know the feeling trying to buy HUGE stuff!

HHO has a member who specialises in making outsize/oddsize bridlework. Why not PM him for a chat? mrhsaddler

I've been searching madly on ebay and have found some gorgeous stuff, but they've all been cranks. But i might try one!
