HUGE congratulations to laura b and alf

Laura and Alf got a silver in the Kür!! Brilliant and the BBC even mentioned it this morning!!!! (Ok after the golf, rugby,football, cycling and God knows what else, and even then were more concerned with the name of the Shadows song Laura did the Kür to, but it's a breakthrough all the same!).
For some reason I woke up at 0330 CET and as the OH was sleeping in the spare room due to a stinking cold, and the upstairs tv is European service I could watch the last 7 or 8 riders. So glad I did, they were all brilliant, especially Laura of course, and Totilas even made a mistake (broke into canter at the end of a diagonal extended trot), but only the one so got over 90% anyway.

Is there a video clip on line anywhere? I so wanted to see it, but last night really wasn't good :( Very boring. A good dose of Kur would be just what the doctor ordered :D (actually I think my doctors are anti anything to do with horses, but hey ho :cool::D).
 
Can't help you there Mrs M as I can't get bbc i-player or even some you tube videos because of not being in UK but I'm sure someone on here will be able to tell you if there is one. I do hope so, because they were definitely amazing, all of them! The Spanish horse was the best Iberian I've ever seen ( and I'm not a fan of them at all), and the rider doing one-handed piaffes and passages was certainly a showstopper. (I think it was him lol but it was 4am and I did just wake up, watch it, and go back to sleep!!!!).
 
It was AMAZING. I woke up esp to watch it and it was totally worth it. Laura B was foot perfect apart from a tiny blip on one Piaffe and Alf sort of was like, Oh Wait sorry Piaffing Piaffing now. :D

Totilas was AMAZING, again had one blip in the extended trot and cantered, but the rest was amazing, his music was brilliant, totally amazing and goose pimply.

However I am still a Blue Hors Matine Fan, she still did the best Kur ever IMO.

It is just so sad though, if this had been a few years ago, or just anytime before Totilas, Laura would have won three golds... that thought must be present somewhere in her mind.
Still, silver is prettier than gold :D ;)

Not necessarily, remember there was no Parzival last night ;)

All the top five tests were absolutely BRILLIANT, I loved Sunrise's too :)

And - Steffen Peters wore a helmet during the lap of honour! Way to go :D
