So for those that don't know I've changed vets recently and after a negotiation got £800 or so off my first vets bill from rubbish vets. About to pay this when I looked at the prices and they were £100.66 for 14 sachets. New vet is £26.80 for 10 sachets.

I'm not sure if this was an error or not but seeing as how she had 3 courses of 14 from first vets, its pretty significant.

I've just emailed first vets to enquire but don't want to be seen to be moaning. If anyone else has a bill handy then would appreciate knowing how much is average?

hm, no bills to hand, but Ive paid more like 2-3 quid a sachet in the past!

have a look on the online vet drug sites to check, but it sounds like your other vet is trying to make up some of the money hes 'knocked off your bill', if this isnt a typo

I'm sure MY last box was less than £20 for 10 sachets... yep, Chemist Direct is about the same price.
Even with a tenner for the vet's 'script on top, I was way under half their price. They have to make their money somewhere and I reckon it's through those with insurance cover. The meds bills are never queried.

Wow, glad I complained now. What a rip-off. Not paying the bill till this is sorted out. Honestly I have never really scrutinised bills like this before but am going to make sure I do from now on.
