Right, so after lengthy discussions with friends/family/instructor i've decided to sell Gov. I had considered loaning but to be honest it seems there will still be significant emotional and financial responsibility etc.

I need a little help with the advert and figures. The market seems to vary so wildly, i've seen two horses, similar in stats advertised for £4k and £14k, the mind boggles.

He's a 16.2hh, 9 yo Dutch Warmblood gelding. By Rupie Star XX, out of a Ronald (Ramiro Z) mare - basically he's bred to jump, has done 1/1.10m courses but not something we've persued. Competing to BD Novice but very low mileage, recently scored 8's and a 9 for his canter. Loves the farrier, good to clip. Will go infront or behind hacking.

I had a lesson this afternoon and my instructor (List 1 judge/BD trainer) seems to think he'd be in the 6.5-7k bracket, she also suggested I contact my other instructor who sells horses on a regular basis. The right home is my priority but obviously I don't want to advertise him too cheap but nor do I want to put the right people off. I haven't sold a horse, or bought one for almost 6 years so I don't have a clue where to begin.

Thanks.

Has he been out competing this season ? If so has he done well?
He sounds like a lovley horse - Ill swap you for a stressy nappy DWB that is driving me mental lol

Sounds like a nice type. Depends a lot on his results really so could be anywhere between £4k and £6k. I think his lack of mileage will now count against him at 9yrs. you can always start higher and drop if no interest.
