Can you remember when your horse's birthday is?

Is 1 yes and 2 No?

I know two people that have done this in the past, and not had very many customers, even though they were charging reasonable rates (£30 for two people & horse).

I suppose it depends on where you are though - taking your horse on holiday seems to be quite popular at the mo, so as long as you're offering turnout and plenty of off-road riding you could do well.

Also, if you're near to major show facilities it could work - I know someone who recently paid £80 per night to stable their horse at a weekend show - can't remember where it was though.

Yes. Lots of people want to rent homes which come with horse accommodation. So long as you price it appropriately and the location is good and not too far out of the way then I think you will find a number of people wishing to rent.

I dont get what 1 is and what 2 is?

What does it matter what 1 and 2 means, if it means anything at all? The poster wrote the question "Regarding the subject of human and horse rented accomodation at the same address, does anyone think this a viable proposition?" I dont know why people focus on others mistakes instead of just answering their questions? The poster is new and doesnt know how to work the board maybe?

I don't quite understand what you are asking.

Are you talking about B&B type accomodation so that people can take their horse on holiday? If so I think it depends very much upon your location. If you are near a long distance bridle route, in a national park or near a major show venue then I would think it is viable. But you would need to work out what sort of level of take up you need to make it viable. You may need some normal liveries to suppliment your income. You would need to make sureyou were listed in the guide books and tourist information had your details so that people get to know about you and make sure you have really good human facilities too!

I stayed at a place that did holiday accomodation where you could take your horse when I went to Burghley last year and the human accomodation was really up market. The downside there was there was no pub/restaurant within walking distance (or even very close by car) and there wasn't a residents lounge or similar type of facility. We didn't use the horse facilities but they looked pretty good.

Or are you talking about more long term accomodation? If so I'm not sure what the demand would be. We'd probably need a lot more info on what is on offer.

I would certainly be interested in renting long term somewhere with accommodation for both myself, husband and 1-2 horses. Last time we moved I did look but could not find anything.
