Has anyone ever used any human wart cream on horses? My horse has a few warts on his side, i've had him on Global Herbs 'Restore' which has shrunk and hardened them but i now want to get rid of them completely and wondered whether a standard human wart cream would do the job???

Thanks

I've never had to use any but I don't see why it shouldn't, alot of the prescriptions used by vets are for human medicine but obviously the doses are vastly increased hence why sometimes you have to feed your horse 20+ tablets at a time.

Hi, I've never tried human wart treatment on horses but have cured a few with Camrosa Ointment. Also if the warts are tiny you can put extra virgin olive oil on them, this stops air getting to them causing them to shrivel up and drop off. Hope this helps.

Yup, vet gave me a tube of £3 wart ointment for a sarcoid above my horse's eye a few years ago. Got rid of it completely and no scarring! Everyone on the yard was horrified I'd put it so close to the eye but it was very thick ointment and I put some vaseline around it to stop it spreading on to healthy skin. Worth a go IMO!
