I previously had an older Böckmann trailer which I absolutely loved but sold when I sold my last horse in order to save for a house. I am now in a position to buy another however struggling to track down another Böckmann and can’t afford new.
I have seen a Humbaur Pegasus trailer advertised fairly local and looks very similar to my old Böckmann. I haven’t had any first hand experience of them however.

Any one have one or used one and what do you think please?

Looking at their website, the front is made from plastic, like the Cheval Liberte trailers.

Is that what you're looking at? I wouldn't touch a plastic fronted trailer. Not strong enough.

The one I’m looking at is an older version so struggling to find exact information.

Interesting about the plastic as a lot of trailers are constructed this way and seem popular, such as Böckmanns.

Ifor also dabbled with plastic fronted trailers with the Mark 1 506/511s. They were not good, they didn't stand up to the job, so the Mark 2s have metal fronts.

Imagine a brick thrown up from the road in transit, or a horse striking out at the front. How effective is a thin sheet of plastic going to be? The CL fronts are so flimsy that you can't even screw a lightweight cctv camera to them, you have to glue them on - I asked the main importer that.

Hmm interesting ? I had an older Böckmann comfort previously and always felt it was very sturdy. Got bashed about a bit and never felt like it was flimsy ? food for thought
