HumungaHorse's Hartpury Holiday (Hugely Long)

Lovely report! It's the first time I've seen pics of him---he really is bl**ding enormous, isn't he?
shocked.gif

deskbound, Compiegne it is then, I like the idea of being a winner, if only in the how-much-booze-can-I-get-in-the-lorry way.
wink.gif

Maloo, I'll tell HH he has a rapidly-expanding fan club. You can stalk him all you like as the photos are fantastic.
grin.gif

Thistle, I like your (very female) logic on that one.
smirk.gif

Thanks Hornby, but is that not very sad that my reports are so long you have time to eat and drink so much?
tongue.gif

Oh no, as a committed "arm chair eventer" I love a long, detailed, picture filled report!
grin.gif
Please keep 'em coming!

Yeah he's not bad is he?!
wink.gif

Well done both of you, a QR and top third finish isn't a bad result for a young chaps first 3-day.
laugh.gif

In the SJ did you jump an upright of doubles or a double of uprights?

(Too much partying on saturday night?

)

Smashing report as ever and am SO jealous.
blush.gif
HH is looking fabulous and what a great ride he gave you. Well done you both
laugh.gif

fab report. you're being very mysterious about your 'neighbour'... it wasn't someone really famous was it?
wink.gif

btw, just how close did your tall lorry get to the low bridge? did you squeeze under or turn round?
fab report, fab pics, fab result. shame about the little errors in dr as we all know he could do a leading test. he is going to be SUCH a star and your OH is not allowed to even THINK of having him as a hunter for another 10 years or so...

I'm with you Kerilli on the neighbour - it's either someone very famous, someone very handsome (unlikely!) or a bit of a stalker
tongue.gif
grin.gif

Great to see you doing a report with such enthusiasm again, and what a fab result for his first. HH really is rather lovely. Think I'll have to join his fan club - where do I sign up
cool.gif

Thanks everyone, HH would thank you too but he's busy sleeping and eating, which I should do soon.
tongue.gif

teapot, and at some point we'll get all that power going in the right direction at the right time and at the right speed.
smirk.gif

ISZ, I didn't even make much of an impression on the litre bottle of Pimms, or not by my usual standards.
frown.gif

m_m, well spotted, but as you are well aware, I don't know my a*se from my elbow when it comes to showjumping. BUT I did jump them all and not fall off, so surely that gets me some kudos?
confused.gif

kerilli, I did have famous neighbours: PF on one side, PF behind, but they weren't the ones I walked the course etc with, just a really nice 1 star competitor who made v good Pimms.
grin.gif

ah, okay, i was suspecting because of the mysteriousness that it was a certain ZP, because she had lovely indoor stables at Burgie, right opp my mate (who had huge 'equipment envy' after 1 day - all Z's kit was gorgeously new and immaculate. *sigh*)
big kudos for not falling off Baydale, esp as David Merrett was there... you do seem to like doing your best 'damsel in distress' impersonation when he's around...

No such luck n_l_m, on any count.
smirk.gif

HH says to become a member you just have to turn up at an event where he'll be holding court, admire his loveliness and hugeness and feed him polos. Bob's your uncle, he'll be your friend for life.

Don't be so negative *hits with stick* but what do I know - another arm chair eventer (and occasional pony holder/jump putter-upper/"no that doesn't look like a big fence with a ditch in front, it's only 2ft max" cheerer upper
wink.gif
)

And anyway, he's man, what do you expect? Everything at the right pace at the right time in the right place? That's some serious multi-tasking

I hear HH does enjoy a good entourage!
smirk.gif

Wow, he's even bigger and shinier than usual! Must have been the soaked oats
wink.gif
! Please bring him to Aske or Allerton and we'll have a party. I seem to remember you ducking out of the last one....
mad.gif

How can you make mistakes like that dressage and still get a very decent score
mad.gif
Brillant report and result and sounds like his SJing is starting to catch up with the rest of it
smile.gif

teapot - if you're 7ft tall and therefore would make all the fences look tiny, you'd be the perfect groom.
wink.gif

m_m - big horses deserve a big following.
smirk.gif

Gamebird, I can't decide which to do, Allerton or Aske. I love Aske but Allerton might suit him better. Help!
confused.gif

S_J - I think the dressage judges love him as he's always so soft and loose, the exact things that make him more challenging to showjump.
crazy.gif

Great report and thoroughly pleasing outcome for the huge hero
smile.gif
smile.gif
My 16' x 12' stable has gone back to looking quite big now it has a normal sized horse in it again
wink.gif
My booze cupboard, on the other hand, looks decidedly empty
grin.gif
I took a load of booze to the PC Champs and have brought most of it back again - the PC mummies clearly aren't up to our usual standards drinking-wise
crazy.gif

PP says Compiegne or Tatts please, and can he share some of HH's soaked oats (I say NO

)
