I have been trying to look in going to Ireland for a short holiday and would love to go hunting while there.
Anyone in Ireland know of good packs and places which have hirelings and prices?

The Tipps are always good, and the Galway Blazers (but I think the GB are more expensive/dificult to get out with). Scarteen(over Limerick direction) are good too and the Duhallow in north Cork.
If you are looking at Tipperary hunt I can give you a few recommendations for hirelings Id say.

I went out with the Kilkenny Foxhounds on a hireling in February. I was aiming for the Tipperary but the man I haired the horse from advised me that the Kilkenny had a better jumping day that week, and it was a fab day's hunting. There is a man over there who does hirelings and had hired a horse to the h&H correspondent when she went out with the Tipps, and I used him. The horse was fab and jumped everything faultless, and was the same one the correspondent used. Can't remember his name or no though (sorry, not helpful), might have been Michael something, perhaps Glenruby is thinking of the same chap.

People I was chatting to on the hunt (they were a friendly bunch) were telling me the Scarteen was good for banks and double banks, I think the Galway Blazers have a lot of stone walls, but I might be wrong.

Would also recommend .....Oliver at flowerhill Equestrian centre
